Report an Insurance Claim
When you experience a loss — an accident, storm damage, theft, or another covered event — the most important thing you can do is report your claim promptly. Most carriers allow you to file a claim online or by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Before You File Your Claim
- Make sure everyone involved is safe. Call 911 if there are injuries or an active emergency.
- Document the damage or incident with photos and videos before making any repairs.
- Gather relevant information: policy number, date and description of the loss, contact information for any other parties involved.
- Do not admit fault at the scene of an accident — let the insurance companies investigate.
- For property damage, take reasonable steps to prevent further damage but do not make permanent repairs until your claim is documented.

What Happens After You File
A claims adjuster will be assigned to your claim and will contact you to schedule an inspection or gather additional information. If you have not heard from your adjuster within a reasonable time, contact us — we can help you follow up.
We are here to help guide you through the claims process, but coverage determinations are made by your carrier based on your policy terms. No coverage changes are effective until confirmed in writing by your carrier.
